State Championship of Brazilian Jiu-jitsu no gi Rip Dorey

The State Championship of Brazilian Jiu-jitsu no gi, organized by the Sports Federation of Jiu-Jitsu of Rio de Janeiro, was attended by some big names in MMA and sportive jiu-jitsu.
Among the athletes that stood out were the MMA fighters from Nova União, Luis “Beição”, who won the open weight category and his weight category in the purple belt, and Giovanni Diniz, who lost in the final to the competitive amateur MMA Felipe “Tropeço” Mendonça from BTT.
In the black belt, the most important category of the championship, the highlight was for Vitor Bonfim, from Gordo Jiu-Jitsu, who won at the end, with a tight triangle, the tough MMA fighter Walber Brito, from Nova União and went to the finals with the skilled Washington “Espantalho” Souza from Nova União, that even under a very strong heat, provided a good fight.
It is worth mentioning the great performance of Marcio Abreu, “Tubarão:” from GFTeam, who won the lightweight class. Who also deserves mention is the great champion of the open weight category, Nilson Ricardo, “Capoeira”, from Nova União, which in the end, defeated the athlete Rodrigo Rodrigues, from Manimal.
